9/28/2018 News Update
Homecoming activities have finished up at L-M. And even though we lost the big homecoming game to Mediapolis, there was still plenty to celebrate....
Our 6th graders spent some time in the afternoon painting the sidewalk around the football field. This is an annual tradition.
Mallory Hohenadel & Cody Calvelage were crowned homecoming queen & king!
We had approximately 40 alumni football players return home for the football game. They were honored on the 50 yard line at half time. Pictured above, current players are shown high-fiving the alumni.
Thursday, September 13 was class color day!
Elementary students (and faculty) celebrated "class color" day for homecoming. Elementary faculty were tie-dyed. 2nd graders, Walker Riggan & Jacob Kemper, sport their red! And a group of 3rd graders showed off their green!
Sophomores wore pink. Pictured are: Hayden Calvelage, Mallory Mashek, Kylee Sanders, Abbie Kinsley & Hannah McConnaha.
Juniors rocked their green.
Seniors shown in blue!
Friday was black & gold day.

In other news.....
Our new football coach, Coach Gabe, sent his players over to read to our elementary students. Players went in pairs and read stories in every grade level at the elementary school. We believe that playing sports is about so much more than what you do on the field. Having these young men interact with our next generation of falcons was a very rewarding experience for all. Attached are a few photos.

The Lion's Club of Fruitland chose 2018 Graduates and art students Isaac O'Neal and Alexis Watson's design concept for a planned All Veteran's Memorial. Their design Unity, Sacrifice, Freedom, and Peace centers around a pyramid with each side devoted to and reflecting the four aspects of service. The monument is slated to be located at the Island Cemetery in Fruitland. Planning and fundraising for this project is still in progress. Congratulations to Alexis and Isaac!
